Texas A&M, a research extensive university enrolling 47,000 students in nine academic colleges, is seeking a new Dean of the College of Architecture. The College's faculty is internationally recognized for excellence in their teaching, research, and service activities, and students enrolled in the College's 13 degree programs, administered by four departments, are outstanding. The College's 14,000 alumni are influencing the planning, design, construction and visualization professions and industries worldwide. While our past achievements are notable, the future holds even greater promise.
The ideal candidate will have prominent stature in a field related to the built and virtual environments, in harmony with the natural environment, and a reputation for inspiring leadership in a multidisciplinary academic setting, with the creative vision, integrity, and passion to lead the College of Architecture in the pursuit of excellence.
Applications and nominations are currently being accepted until December 31, 2007, or until a suitable candidate is identified. The intent is to fill the position as soon as possible, and not later than the Summer of 2008.
